Most people focus on color.
We focus on what’s underneath it.
One of the biggest differences between a general painting company and a specialized finishing shop is the products used. We’ve spent years testing, refining, and committing to a coating system that delivers superior durability, consistency, and long-term performance.
We exclusively use ICRO Italian waterborne wood coatings—professional-grade materials designed specifically for cabinetry and fine woodwork. Every step of our interior finishing process uses 2K (two-component) coatings for maximum performance.

What Are 2K Coatings?
2K coatings are made of two components that chemically react when mixed—creating a crosslinked, hardened finish.
Compared to standard single-component (1K) paints commonly found at standard big-box paint stores specialized, 2K coatings offer:
- Dramatically higher durability
- Superior chemical and moisture resistance
- Faster cure times
- Longer-lasting protection against wear, cleaning, and daily use
Simply put: they’re built for cabinetry and woodwork—not walls.
Interior Finishing System
We use a complete, professional system from start to finish. Each product has a specific role, and skipping steps is not an option.
300 Clear Isolator / Sealer
This is the foundation of most of our interior projects.
What it does:
- Excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates
- Blocks tannins and staining
- Begins pore filling and surface refinement
- Isolates the substrate from subsequent coatings
Why it matters:
The 300 isolator creates a stable, bonded surface that everything else builds upon. It acts as a safeguard—reducing the risk of bleed-through, adhesion failure, or long-term coating issues. We use it on most projects to ensure lasting success, even when working with challenging substrates.
416 High-Build Primer
This is where the transformation really begins.
What it does:
- High-build primer with excellent adhesion
- Strong stain-blocking properties
- Fills grain and minor surface imperfections
- Creates a perfectly smooth base for topcoat
Why it matters:
The primer stage is where cabinets go from “painted” to refined. Most of our repairs, grain filling, and surface corrections happen between primer coats. This step is critical to achieving a smooth, furniture-grade finish. It’s used on all of our interior paint projects.
5500 Topcoat (Clear or Tinted)
Arguably one of the finest waterborne wood topcoats in the world.
What it does:
- Exceptional chemical, moisture, and scratch resistance
- Dries and cures extremely fast for immediate protection
- Lays down incredibly smooth—often described as “glass-like”
- Available clear or tinted for custom finishes, whether its wood restoration or painted finishes.
Why it matters:
This is the final layer you live with every day. The 5500 topcoat offers elite durability while maintaining a refined, ultra-smooth appearance. It’s designed to handle real life- cleaning, moisture, heat, and daily use without sacrificing beauty.
Exterior Finishing System
Exterior woodwork demands a different level of protection. We use ICRO’s exterior-rated products designed to withstand sun, moisture, and temperature swings.
E-505 Exterior Clear Sealer
What it does:
- Acts as a primer for exterior wood surfaces
- Promotes adhesion and long-term coating performance
Why it matters:
Exterior finishes are only as good as their bond. The E-505 sealer prepares exterior woodwork for durable topcoats while helping prevent premature failure.
E-106 Exterior Topcoat (Clear or Tinted)
What it does:
- Top-tier UV protection
- Excellent resistance to moisture, chemicals, and scratches
- Designed specifically for exterior exposure
Why it matters:
We commonly use this system on front doors and exterior wood features, where both appearance and durability matter. It provides long-lasting protection while maintaining a refined, high-end finish.
Why We’re So Particular About Materials
Anyone can buy paint.
Not everyone builds a finishing system.
Our coatings are a major reason our work looks better, lasts longer, and performs the way cabinetry should. It’s one of the many reasons we don’t consider ourselves a typical painting company—and why our clients notice the difference long after the project is complete.
